🌸 Pompadour Skirt – A touch of vintage elegance
I’m so happy to share the Pompadour Skirt with you!
This design was inspired by the graceful draped shapes of antique French skirts — those elegant silhouettes that seem to tell stories of beauty and time. Yet, I wanted to reimagine that vintage charm in a soft, modern lagenlook spirit. The result is a skirt that feels poetic and free, easy to wear, and full of movement.
The layered gathers flow gently with every step, creating both volume and rhythm — almost like a little dance. And because it’s sewn in a relaxed lagenlook shape, it’s comfortable, expressive, and timeless all at once.
In this video, I’ll guide you step by step through sewing the Pompadour Skirt using the PDF sewing pattern — Aura’s very first skirt pattern! You’ll see how the unique pleats and layered structure come together to form my signature look — distinctive yet versatile, artistic yet simple to make.
As you sew along, take your time and enjoy each moment of the process. After all, sewing isn’t just about creating clothes — it’s about slowing down, connecting with fabric, and expressing yourself through every stitch.
And before we finish, I want to say a heartfelt thank you to my dear mother-in-law, who lovingly modeled this skirt for me. Even with her wrist in a cast, she showed up with such grace and kindness, reminding me once again how beautiful generosity can be. 💕
So now, let’s begin! Enjoy sewing, have fun with the creative journey, and remember — be yourself, always. 💛

P.S. Technical sewing English is not my strong point, but I’m always eager to improve. I’d be grateful for any feedback if you notice something that could be made clearer.
