Flamingo culottes (wide leg) PDF sewing pattern Lagenlook style
$15.00
A poetic blend of pants and skirt.
The Flamingo Culottes flow with every movement — wide-leg comfort meets artistic elegance. Inspired by the single petal of the Flamingo flower, they bring softness, rhythm, and a touch of playful femininity to your lagenlook style.
What makes it special:
Movement, softness, and freedom come together in the Flamingo Culottes, a lagenlook culottes PDF sewing pattern created to flow with every step. As the shape widens and curves, the design feels light and feminine, almost like fabric caught in a gentle breeze. Moreover, the half wide-leg and half circle-skirt silhouette adds an airy sense of ease that makes the culottes delightful to wear.
Originating from the form of a single flamingo petal, the sculptural front wing gives the piece its character. Because of this romantic detail, the design feels playful yet elegant. In addition, the layered fold adds a hint of quiet seduction while keeping the culottes expressive and comfortable. Meanwhile, the cross-front shape moves beautifully with every step you take.
Expressive movement lies at the heart of these culottes. You can twirl on a summer morning, wander barefoot through the grass, or style them with a structured top for a bold lagenlook look. Ultimately, the Flamingo Culottes bring comfort, femininity, and artisanal charm together in one flowing design — letting your outfit dance along with you.

Material suggestions
- Lightweight fabric with a soft drape works beautifully — cotton, linen, rayon, viscose, or polyester crepe (140 cm / 56” width). See the chart for yardage.
- Use 3 cm (1 ³/₁₆”) waistband elastic, cut approximately 7.5 cm (3″) shorter than your waist. Wrap the elastic around your waist and pin the ends together to check the fit. Choose thread in a matching colour.
- Thread in matching color.

- Flamingo Culottes are part of my Cross-Front Collection — a series of designs that wrap, drape, and dance with a soft feminine elegance. If you enjoy Flamingo’s playful movement, explore the Atchara Dress with its graceful folds, the Thunya Pants with their artistic charm, or the Pansarong Trousers with their modern, structured lagenlook silhouette. For this reason, many sewists like to mix these designs as a little family of cross-front styles.
